LIGHTGUIDE PLATE AND LIGHTING UNIT

A lightguide plate for a front-light type lighting unit for liquid-crystal displays, which comprises a polymer resin having an alicyclic structure and in which at least one of the main planes has a finely roughened surface having a light-reflecting function. The lightguide plate is excellent in the initial adhesion of an antireflection layer formed thereon, in its adhesion after durability tests at a high temperature, low temperature, high humidity, etc., and in the transferability and light-transmitting properties of the finely roughened surface. Also provided is a front-light type lighting unit employing this lightguide plate.
