PURPOSE: A reference electrode for monitoring corrosive environment of a nuclear power plant is provided to measure corrosive environment of high temperature and high pressure by using a zirconia liquid terminal, a zirconia tube having an enlarged end portion, and a ceramic junction method. CONSTITUTION: A reference electrode(20) is formed by a zirconia liquid terminal for restraining the inflow of Ag/AgCl and hydrazine and a zirconia tube(10) adapted for water environment of high temperature and high pressure. The reference electrode(20) is used for monitoring a corrosive phenomenon due to cooling water of the high temperature and high pressure. An end portion of a zirconia tube(10) is enlarged to measure easily an extreme situation. A porous zirconia(40) is adhered to the end portion of the zirconia tube(10) by using ceramic junction(30).
