<p>A detector for a peristaltic pump (28) comprises a sliding ring (68) moved along a flexible tube (44) between two positions. The tube has a fluid compressed against a thrust member by rollers on a rotor. The ring is moved by metal studs (64) , a metal V-spring (80) and a return spring strip (84). Obstructions in the tube that cause it to inflate are detected by a change in movement of the ring.</p> |
