The present invention relates to a power amplifier circuit (1) for amplifying an input RF-signal comprising an amplification path (3) for amplifying an input RF-signal, a bypass path (5) for bypassing the amplification path (3) and a control terminal (6) for controlling the operation mode of the power amplifier circuit (1) between an amplifying mode and a bypassing mode, so that the input RF-signal is either amplified by the amplification path (3) in the amplifying mode or bypassed by the bypass path (5) in the bypassing mode. The bypass path (5) is designed in a way, that it substantially does not affect the output RF-signal in the amplifying mode and that there is no need for a serial switch in the signal path of the bypass path (5). <IMAGE>
