PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source system for an endoscopic apparatus which makes it possible to photograph observation sites by various photographic methods without causing troublesomeness and detrimental effects due to noise and electro-magnetic waves, or the like. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a means for allowing an incidence of the flux from the first light source 1 that successively lights up and the second light source 2 that intermittently emits only for a fixed span of time as well as the respective light sources, a means for guiding the light to enter a peripheral region of an incident terminal and illuminance an observation site from a peripheral region of an emission terminal, and the light to enter a nearly central region of the incident terminal and illuminate an observation site from a nearly central region of the emission terminal, a means for selecting a route of flux from the second light source at a nearly central region of the flux emitted from the first light source where the lights emitted from the respective light sources intersect, and a means for controlling the means for selecting the light routes so that all the fluxes from the first light source are led to the incident terminal by the means for guiding the light for normal observation, and the nearly central region of the flux emitted from the first light source alone is partially shaded and the light from the second light source is guided to the nearly central region of the incident terminal by the means for guiding the light for stroboscopic observation.
