PURPOSE: A damper for varying damping force of an electronic control suspension in a vehicle is provided to improve performance of a suspension by controlling the rate of damping force change evenly at low speed or high speed with adjusting the size of the orifice and regulating the blow-off pressure. CONSTITUTION: A damping force varying damper comprises a piston(4) having a hole(4a) flowing oil; a disk(5) having a hole(5a); a retainer(11) supporting or clamping the inside of the disk and having a passage flowing oil(11a) to an orifice(9a); a floating valve(6) supporting the outside of the disk; a disk(8) having a hole(8a) functioning as a spring and supporting the floating valve; a shutter(10) guiding the floating valve and having a passage flowing oil from a pilot chamber(3); and a piston rod(9) having the orifice. A disk(12) is fixed to the piston rod to regulate a hole(7a) of a sliding guide(7), and a slit(12-1) is formed in the disk. A spacer(13) and a retainer(14) are assembled with the back of the disk.
