PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for a machine tool capable of performing non-oil operation, and to cool a tool itself, and to eliminate the cutting chips by generating compressed air without using a large compressor device. SOLUTION: This tool for the machine tool has a tool main body 13 driven by a spindle 19 of the machine tool and a frame 14 for holding the tool main body 13. An air compressor mechanism 15 for compressing air is provided inside the frame 14. The air compressor mechanism 15 has a driving vane member 26 to be fitted to the rotating tool main body 13 side and a fixed vane member 25 to be fitted to the frame 14 side. Compressed air is discharged from a tip of the tool 10 through the predetermined flow passage.
