PURPOSE: An electronic scale having a function for compensating a measured error due to a gradient is provided to measure accurately a load of a measuring object by correcting an error of the load due to a gradient. CONSTITUTION: An electronic scale is formed with a base(10), an upper plate(20), and a load cell(30). A measuring object is loaded on the upper plate(20). The load cell(30) is installed between the base(10) and the load cell(30). A base end portion(31) of the load cell(30) is fixed to an upper face of the base(10). A front end portion(32) of the load cell(30) is fixed to a lower face of the upper plate(20) in order to support the upper plate(20). A modification portion(33) is formed between the base end portion(31) and the front end portion(32) of the load cell(30). A strain gage is adhered to the modification portion(33). The strain gage outputs an electric signal corresponding to a load of the measuring object applied to the front end portion(32) of the load cell(30). A gradient detection portion is formed with a potentiometer(40) and a scale weight(50).
