PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generating method of a panoramic image by an optional viewpoint to enable image display by an optional viewpoint direction at an optional viewpoint conventionally considered as virtually impossible. SOLUTION: Reference straight lines to pass positions of the respective feature points on a base panoramic image BP and a viewpoint of the base panoramic image BP are set, featured values of the respective positions where straight lines to pass the respective points on the respective reference straight lines and the viewpoints of reference panoramic images RP 1, RP 2 are crossed with image surfaces of the reference panoramic image RI 1, RP 2 are calculated, differences between the respective featured values calculated in each of the base panoramic image BP, the reference panoramic images RI 1, RP 2 are calculated regarding the respective featured values, distance of the reference panoramic images RI 1, RP 2 with the minimum difference of the featured values on the reference straight lines corresponding to image surfaces is defined as three-dimensional positional information from the viewpoints of base panoramic images of the respective featured values, the three-dimensional shape of scenes of the base panoramic image BP is acquired based on the three-dimensional positional information and projected on an image surface of a new panoramic image NP of an optional viewpoint. |
