PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the transmission reception sensitivity without the need for any special work to part an antenna element from an enclosure. SOLUTION: The portable radio equipment 1 is configured such that a 1st casing 4 with built-in radio equipment 6 and having a 1st connection section 8 electrically connected to the radio equipment 6 and a 2nd casing having an antenna element 9 and a 2nd connection section 10 electrically connected to the antenna element 9 are connected in a way that the 2nd connection section 10 freely takes a connection position at which the 2nd connection section 10 is electrically connected to the 1st connection section 8 or a interruption position at which the 2nd connection section 10 is electrically disconnected from the 1st connection section 8. Thus, in the case of using the portable radio equipment, the 2nd casing 5 is shifted to the connection position to electrically connect the 1st connection section 8 to the 2nd connection section 10 thereby electrically connecting the radio equipment 6 to the antenna element 9.
