PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel operation setting device enabling a user to arbitrarily change the setting of a panel operation. SOLUTION: This panel operation setting device is incorporated in a printer. With a panel operation setting screen displayed on the display device of a host computer 18, the user changes the operating method of operating buttons and the setting of the display contents of LEDs, in matching with to his preference. The re-set panel operation data are stored in a RAM 22 of a printer as a button operation table and a LED display table. After these tables have been stored in the RAM 22, every time the user operates the operation buttons, the operation of the printer is switched according to the button operation table in the RAM 22. Also, the display of the LEDs is switched according to the LED display table in the RAM 22. |
