PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute the resolution of a resolution original placed on an original platen and to correct file strength so as to attain a target resolution corresponding to the computed result. SOLUTION: This image reader is provided with the original platen 16, the resolution original 20 arranged on the original platen 16, original read means 10-15 for reading the resolution original 20 and an image processing board 2 provided with an image processing circuit for analyzing resolution original data read by the original read means. The image processing circuit generates the final image of the target resolution by changing a filter coefficient corresponding to the computed result of the resolution original data. |
