PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for address retrieval allowing easy access to an objective home page. SOLUTION: A telephone number is transmitted from a portable information terminal to a retrieval server. The retrieval server retrieves the address of an enterprise or the like which uses the transmitted telephone number, and transmits the address acquired by the retrieval, or resource provided at the address, to the portable information terminal. The address received from the retrieval server, or the address of a Web server that provides the resource, is stored in relation to the telephone number, and thereafter the address stored in relation to the telephone number is accessed.
