PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless phone that ensures much more enhance speech quality only by an optimum number of channels with noiseless high quality. SOLUTION: At application of power, the presence of carriers is searched as to all speech channels so as to discriminate whether or not be number N of speech channels without carrier reaches a predetermined number. When the number N of channels is less than the prescribed number, the presence of carriers as to all speech channels is searched for. When the number N of channels reaches the prescribed number, the speech channels of the prescribed number are confirmed as valid channels and a channel in use is selected from them. |
