摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transmission equipment which do not need processing of intermediary framing processing and upper layer termination, such as ATM and solves the problems of making processing circuits complex and transmission delay. SOLUTION: The transmission equipment is equipped with an OTN(optical transport network) interface as defined by ITU-T G.709 and a giga bit LAN (GbE) signal interface as defined by IEEE 802.z, and is provided with a GbE- OTN clock place-change means, which inserts staff bits into signals received from the GbE interface, in order to fill blank capacity on accommodation of the received signals into the OTN and places the signals at an OTN synchronization clock for outputting them to the OTN interface, and an OTN-GbE clock place-change means, which deletes staff bits in signals received from the OTN interface and places the signals at a GbE free-funning block. The transmission equipment accommodates inputted GbE signals to transmit them and outputs signals received from the OTN as GbE signals.</p>
