The invention relates to a method for monitoring at least one satellite station by means of a centralised monitoring station and for secure data recording, wherein: said satellite stations are outside the local network (LAN) of the centralised station; the centralised station is adapted for at least temporary connection with each of a number of satellite stations; the centralised station monitors multiple satellite stations and, for each of said stations, records data corresponding to a monitored object such that a reproduction of the monitored object can be produced; the monitoring of said satellite stations is carried out in real time. The invention also relates to a monitoring and recording device used to carry out said method.
