The fabrication of polyethylene-based containers of e.g. liquids comprises simultaneous introduction into a mould of polyethylene forming the smooth hard exterior and of polyethylene incorporating foaming agent forming the interior of the container. The exterior is allowed to form before the interior material is poured into the mould. EMBODIMENT - The two polyethylene layers bond together, and a thin smooth coherent inner liner is applied after the rotary moulding operation.
