The device has a magnetic valve enabling an operating range with pre-injection and main injection with dual operation, a radial piston high pressure pump and a cam causing the fuel delivery and injection processes so the processes take place with the valve closed and injection process termination occurs with the valve open. The magnetic valve stroke is controlled so that the valve is only partly open for termination of the injection process.
