PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating roller device which exhibits a sufficient heat treatment effect in a direct spinning and drawing process in which a drawing heat treatment is performed at a high speed, and to provide a method for producing polyester filaments, by which the polyester filaments having high toughness and dimensional stability at high temperature can efficiently be produced by the direct spinning and drawing method using the above-described heating roller device. SOLUTION: This heating roller device in which has a heating means and a hollow jacket chamber capable of sealing a heat medium therein and a part or all parts of whose surface are covered with a coating layer having a heat conductivity of >=5.0 W/m2K, a porosity of <1.0%, and a Vickers hardness HV300 of >=1,000, is provided. In the method for producing the polyester filaments, comprising melt-spinning a polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester, continuously drawing the obtained undrawn filaments with drawing rollers at one or more steps without once winding up the undrawn filaments, and then winding up the drawn filaments through the final roller, the drawing speed of the final stage drawing roller is controlled to >=3,000 m/min and the above-described heating roller device is used as at least the final stage drawing roller.
