PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic exhibiting excellent beauty promoting effects of promoting metabolism of the skin without damaging the skin, smoothing the skin and combining with preventions of an acne, a skin chapping and a skin aging when directly applied to the skin as an external preparation. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is prepared by formulating an extract or a squeezed liquid from fruit of balsam pear (family Cucurbitaceae; scientific name is Momordica charantia) to a base of the cosmetic for the skin or the hair.
