PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor having high efficiency allowing narrowing of a back face clearance between a turning scroll and a main frame without receiving an effect of thermal expansion difference. SOLUTION: The fixed scroll 2 and the turning scroll 3 are made of aluminum to have the same thermal expansion coefficient, and the main frame 4 is made of cast iron and has a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than that of the aluminum of the turning scroll 3. The outer periphery 2c of an end surface of the fixed scroll 2 on the main frame 4 side is provided with an extending part 2d with annular cross section that faces to the end surface outer periphery 4b of the main frame 4 and axially extends at a height equal to the sum of a thickness of an end plate 3a of the turning scroll 3 and a back face clearance d between the back face of the turning scroll 3 and a receiving surface 4c of the main frame 4. The height of the end surface outer periphery 4b of the main frame 4 is reduced in response to the height of the extending part 2d.
