PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device having superior torque transmission efficiency and permitting a low-speed and high-torque output for starting and creeping travel and hill-holding if this is applied to a vehicle, in particular. SOLUTION: The power transmission device comprises a planetary gear 3 provided between an input shaft 1 to which torque is transmitted from an engine and an output shaft 2 from which the torque is outputted to an automatic transmission and having a ring gear 33 fixed to a unit housing, a first clutch A-C/L provided between a carrier 32 of the planetary gear 3 and the input shaft 1, a second clutch B-C/L provided between the carrier 32 and the output shaft 2, a third clutch C-C/L provided between a sun gear 31 of the planetary gear 3 and the input shaft 1, and a brake motor 10 capable of changing over the ring gear 33 to be fixed/unfixed and normal/reverse rotated. |
