PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a damper clutch of an automatic transmission allowing correcting a point in time to direct connection of the damper clutch in consideration of the outside air temperature and setting a hydraulic oil temperature to an appropriate level for a smooth speed change after directly connecting the damper clutch. SOLUTION: This method is to control operation for directly connecting the damper clutch in necessary conditions that the outside air temperature be measured and direct connection temperature be corrected for determining the point in time, to directly connect the damper clutch according to the measured temperature and that the hydraulic fluid temperature reach the correction temperature. |
