PURPOSE: Provided are an extract of natural product having pharmacological components for manufacturing functional steamed rice and foods and their cooking method using the same extract, thereby preventing or treating various diseases and improving one's physical constitution and health. CONSTITUTION: Natural products containing pharmacological components are extracted, condensed or formulated into an extract preparation. It can be used as water for cooking functional steamed rice or gruel. The prepared functional steamed rice or gruel has characteristic colors to increase one's appetite and provides pharmacological components to increase one's health such as disease prevention or treatment and physical constitution.
