摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supporting traveling robot. SOLUTION: One-dimensionally long loop-like coils 1 to 2 are arranged on two rectangular sides of a plane and a transmitter 3 for generating AC magnetic flux is connected to these coils 1 to 2. When a receiving part included in a robot 4 detects the magnetic flux, the robot 4 can detect its own current position as a two-dimensional plane position. Action patterns such as forward movement, backward movement, curve movement, rotation, and stop and their performance order are described in a computer built in the robot 4 as a program for processing action, so that the robot 4 can accurately execute action while collating with the action with the current plane position. A personal computer(PC) is connected to the transmitter 3, a program for processing action edited by the PC is sent to the transmitter 3, a computer in the transmitter 3 encodes the program, sends power to the transmission coils 1 to 2, the power arrives at the receiving part as magnetic flux, and a computer in the receiving part decodes and rewrites the encoded program to a program for processing its own action.
