SHOT PEENING FOR TOP OF COOLED BLADE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shot peening method used for a head of a blade having cooling air passage orifices and capable of generating prestress similarly repeatable for all the blades in a relatively short shot peening time. SOLUTION: This shot peening is carried out by using beads 31 produced in a sealed enclosure 29 for enclosing at least one of the heads 1 of the blades. The beads are generated by an active surface 27 of a sonotrode 28 for delimiting part of the enclosure 29. The beads 31 have a diameter larger than that of cooling air passage orifice 12.
