PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of deposit of an ink, foreign substances, or the like on a nozzle surface 4 derived from insufficient washing of the nozzle surface 4 due to the uneven contact area at the time of contacting the nozzle surface 4 with a blade 4 in the case the tip end part of the blade has a flat surface with right angles so that the nozzle surface is pressed thereby strongly due to hardness of the tip end part, and the problem of deterioration of the endurance and the printing quality derived from damage of the vicinity of the nozzle due to the force of the blade 2 applied on the nozzle surface 4 unevenly. SOLUTION: In an ink-jet recording apparatus having a blade for washing the nozzle surface of an ink-jet head for ejecting from a nozzle opening an ink filled in the ink channel by changing the volume thereof, the tip end shape of the blade is formed in a sharp shape.
