PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ship desired commodities out of storage via a carry-out conveyor independently of a timing for storage in a commodity supporting member. SOLUTION: The commodity supporting member 11 placing commodities thereon is stopped with its opening 17 being opposed to an in- and out-of-storage conveyor 20 located at the lowest position. Then, the in- and out-of-storage conveyor 20 is moved up to the highest position. As a result, a carriage plane 20a is the same or almost the same as a carriage plane 25a in height. With this operation, the commodities on a commodity supporting material 16 of the commodity supporting member 11 are transferred to the in- and out-of- conveyor 20. Then, a stopper 22 is retreated under the carriage plane 20a. Then, the in- and out-of-conveyor 20 and the carry-out conveyor 25 are driven for carrying the commodities in sequence from the in- and out-of-storage conveyor 20 to the carry-out conveyor 25.
