PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing performance of a metal gasket 1 by obtaining uniformity, as compared with in the past of a load applied to the roof surface of an annular protrusion 11 by each of the constitution. SOLUTION: A metal-made gasket base board 2 is formed with a bead part 7 and an annular protrusion 11 in a side of a combustion chamber hole 3 from the bead part 7. The shape of the annular protrusion 11, as a first constitution, makes a wall surface height t2 of an outer sidewall surface 11B smaller than a wall surface height t1 of an inner sidewall surface 11A. As a second constitution, an outer side base board radius of curvature r1b is set larger than an inner side base board radius of curvature r1a, and an outer side roof surface radius of curvature r2b is set larger than an inner side roof surface radius of curvature r2a. In addition, as a third constitution, an inner side angleθ2 of the outer sidewall surface 11B is made smaller than an inner side angleθ1 of the inner sidewall surface 11A. These first to third constitutions may be used independently or with the two kinds combined.
