PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a gearbox tesing apparatus becomes large in its axial direction because a torque meter is connected to the shaft of a gearbox through a coupling and the shaft of an engine is connected to the torque meter in the gearbox tesing apparatus and the coupling having a spring constant obstructs the enhancement of measuring accuracy. SOLUTION: A coupling for a shaft coupling is omitted by directly connecting the coupling type torque meter to the rotary shaft of a gearbox.
