摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind resistance testing device using no wind tunnel and a method for wind resistance test by which the stability of the wind resistance of a model which is an object to be tested for wind resistance can be confirmed. SOLUTION: The wind resistance testing device 1 is formed in such a way that, after a detecting means 9 which detects aerodynamic characteristics is incorporated in a truck 2 and a cushioning material is inserted into the truck 2, a ground level plate 3 is fixed on the truck 2 and turbulent boundary layer forming means 8 composed of a turbulence-generating grid 7, a spire 6, and a roughness block 5 are fixed on the plate 3 in this order from the upstream side in the advancing direction. Then the model 4 which is an object to be tested for wind resistance is fixed on the most downstream side so that the model 4 may work in an interlocking way with the aerodynamic characteristic detecting means 9. Thereafter, a turbulent boundary layer is formed by generating a flowing-in air flow in the device 1 by moving the device 1 at a fixed moving speed of 18-36 km/h in a self-running state or towing state under a calm weather condition. In this state, the aerodynamic characteristic in the periphery of the model 4 is detected.
