PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a texture image generation device capable of automatically generating texture image data of high quality with small storage capacity as texture image data to be used for the image display processing of an optional viewpoint by using three-dimensional(3D) object restoring processing based on the correspondence of feature points. SOLUTION: A feature point arrangement part 31 in a projection part 30 arranges feature points extracted from a 3D object in a coordinate space, a projection face generation part 32 forms a projection face to be the combination of developable faces/planes so as to include all the feature points and a projection processing part 34 draws projection lines passing respective feature points from a projection center point and finds out projection points on the projection face. A division part 40 divides the projection face into respective small faces based on the projection points and a development part 50 develops these small faces to a plane. An image write part 60 writes projection image in the developed plane. At the time of writing, images free from distortion are selected as projection images, faces are fit and these projection images are written based on respective projection points on the developed plane and the feature points on the photographed image. |
