PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print high image-quality images by absorbing feed errors included in a vertical scanning amount. SOLUTION: A plurality of dot formation elements set to a head are divided to a plurality of dot formation element groups. For at least one dot formation element group, a dot formation position is shifted in a vertical scanning direction from an original formation position for displaying images. A texture as a result of shifting the dot formation position is generated in addition to a texture generated by the error of the vertical scanning amount, and a period of the texture is shortened. A visual sensitivity is thus decreased, so that degradation of the image quality can be avoided.
