PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which prevents lowering the picture quality of subsequent toner picture formed in an image forming region owing to the attachment of scattered toner which is scattered from a cleaning member to the image forming region of an image carrier which is deprived of the remaining toner by the cleaning member. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted in such a manner that a release position of the cleaning blade 504 is shifted by 20 mm toward the back end position of the preceding picture from the present release position on the basis of the tip position of the subsequent picture of an intermediate transfer belt 501. Thereby, the distance L from the tip position of the subsequent picture of intermediate transfer belt 501 to the release position of the cleaning blade 504 is equal to 61 mm and the toner dropping ranking to the tip of the subsequent picture enters in the range >=4 which allows the attachment of the scattered toner. |
