PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf device. SOLUTION: This shelf device has panels 12a and 12b having a plurality of support structures, and one or more columns 14 shaped so as to support the panels. One type support structure includes a pair of opposed beam members 38 having the upper end 42, the lower end 44, and an intermediate wall 40 for joining the upper end and the lower end. The upper end and the lower end of the opposed beam members demarcate a plurality of orifices, and the tail end of the upper end includes a downward projection 56 shaped so as to provided strength and rigidity. Another type support structure includes a set of alternate opposed cavities 60 and 62 demarcated by a pair of side walls, an upper wall, and a lower wall, and here, the first cavity is demarcated by the side walls and the upper wall, and the second cavity is demarcated by the side walls and the lower wall.
