PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the supercritical wet oxidation of a residue mixture containing organic and inorganic components and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A residue mixture is placed in a container (2), and near- or super-critical water is recirculated into the container (2) continuously in the direction opposite to that of gravity. At this time, the flow rate is selected so that the particles may be kept floating but are not conveyed in the flow direction at the center to form an upward limited fluidized bed (30). The solid present in the water is discharged, and the fluid laying on the upper limit of the fluidized bed is continuously led out of the container (2).
