PURPOSE:To allow highly accurate multiaxial acceleration detection using a single acceleration detector by detecting a multiaxial acceleration signal, produced upon application of an AC wave having different frequency or phase to the electrode for a target electrode, in synchronism with the AC wave. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 11-19 are disposed oppositely to a weight 14 which moves while rocking in response to an applied acceleration. A signal source 40 applies AC waves having different frequencies to the electrodes 17-19 and a converter 41 converts a multiaxial acceleration signal current, detected by an acceleration detector 30, into a DC voltage being fed to a synchronous rectifier 42. The synchronous rectifier 42 receives electrical information relating to the acceleration components in the direction of X, Y, Z axes from the weight 14 and outputs the acceleration signal of each axis extracted therefrom. This detector is not affected by the acceleration in the direction of other axis at all and can determine the acceleration component in the direction of only one axis. |
