PURPOSE: Provided is a position-adjustment system for instrumentation for surgery of the spine, which system is put into place precisely and quickly. CONSTITUTION: A position-adjustment system for a surgical instrument in particular for surgery of the spine comprises: an elongate member(2) suitable for being connected to a first element of the instrument; a body suitable for being fastened to the elongate member and for being connected to a second element of the instrument; a connection device for connecting the elongate member to the body and arranged to have an unlocked state in which they allow the elongate member(2) to slide relative to the body and a locked state in which they prevent the elongate member(2) from sliding relative to the body.
