PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade a failure in reading out data from a portable recording medium. SOLUTION: In recording data, the data to be recorded is recorded in a main data recording region 92 and a backup recording region 93, respectively, and in reproducing the data, the data to be reproduced is read out from the main data recording region in accordance with the management information of a main management region 91 but when the reading out of the data to be reproduced is not possible as a result of a failure in the reading out of the data of the management information of the main management region 91 or the data of the main data recording region 92, the data to be reproduced is read out of the backup recording region 93 in accordance with the management information of the backup management region 94. |
