PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coastal structure with self-lighting illumination device in which an outside power source is not required by utilizing a solar cell and switching operation of lighting and switching-off by human hand is not required. SOLUTION: In the coastal structure, an internal circuit part 17 including a battery having a solar cell 12 and a sensor circuit or a timer detecting the brightness of the outside is provided inside a container 7 that is embedded on the road surface of a floating pier 20 with the top side transparent cover 5 exposed, and the lighting and switching-off of the luminous body 11 that emits light by the output of the above battery is made automatically.
