PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed alkaline battery with a safety valve function which can surly operate at a given battery inner pressure even at high temperature with a structure enabling designing working pressure precisely and with good repeatability. SOLUTION: A circular membrane part 37 is fitted to a gasket 3 air-tightly sealing the alkaline battery, and at the same time, a circular elastic part 4 is fitted which is elastically deformed together with the circular membrane by battery inner pressure the circular membrane part 37 receives.
