PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a motor which can enhance a magnetic flux density in a gap and can approximate a magnetic flux distribution in the gap to a sine wave. SOLUTION: The external circumference of a rotor iron core 11 as a magnetic pole is formed in a shape of an umbrella, and permanent magnets 12 are engaged with slots formed to a grip 11a of this umbrella. A magnetic path at the end portion of the magnetic pole is narrowed to increase the magnetic flux at the end portion of the magnetic pole. The gap between stators 13 at the end portion of the magnetic poles is narrowed simultaneously, and thereby, the magnetic resistance of this portion can be lowered to realize the distribution of magnetic flux of gap into a shape of sine wave.
