PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cornice wire cutter formed with supports and a wire, having a simple and lightweight structure, giving no load to a roof structure, capable of being manufactured at a low cost due to its simple structure and executed by a simple method, capable of safely cutting down a cornice without requiring labor for operation, using an electric motor, a snowfall sensor, and a timer for operation, and capable of preventing the occurrence of the cornice by vertically moving the wire for a fixed period only in snowfall. SOLUTION: The supports A, B, C are installed at the ends and entrance corner sections of a roof eaves edge. When an operation rope 36 is pulled down, the wire 1 mounted on the eaves edge is lifted via pulleys fitted to the supports to diagonally cut down the cornice in sequence from a lower section to an upper section by utilizing the looseness of the wire.
