PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink for ink jet image recording and displaying device capable of preventing dyeing on a recording medium and having improved erasability and releasablity and to provide an image recording display device. SOLUTION: This ink is an ink for ink jets containing a pigment and a colloidal silica and characterized in that the size of the particles of the pigment is the same as or larger than that of the colloidal silica particles. The image recording and displaying device is also provided.
