PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain electrical connections for hermetically sealing the inside of a hard disk drive. SOLUTION: The hard disk drive has a substrate, a hard disk rotatably installed on this substrate and an actuator assembly having an actuator arm rotatably disposed on the substrate in order to position a read/write head in a selectable radial position on the disk. The substrate is covered with a cover to form a hermetically sealed space housing the hard disk and the actuator assembly on the substrate. A controller including a printed circuit board for controlling the hard disk drive is arranged in the lower part of the substrate and a header which penetrates the substrate and provides the electrical connection between the inside of the hermetically sealed space and the controller is disposed. All of the electrical connections between the inside and the outside of the hermetically sealed space are performed through the header.
