摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitor electrode by which etching characteristics can be improved and high electrostatic capacity can be attained and simultaneously folding endurance can be improved and also to provide an aluminum-clad material to be a material for the foil. SOLUTION: The aluminum-clad material is constituted by cladding at least one side in the thickness direction of a reinforcement layer composed of niobium or niobium-base alloy with an outermost layer composed of high-purity aluminum of >=99.8 wt.% Al purity. In the aluminum foil, the above outermost layer is used as an etching layer.
