PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination optimizing device with which a satisfactory optimum approximation solution is obtained even when the characteristic of a symmetry problem is unclear. SOLUTION: This device has an early gene generating means 5 for generating an early gene, also selecting the number of a gene evaluating means 7 for evaluating the generated early gene among a plurality of numbers of gene evaluating means and storing the selected number in a gene storing part 15, a gene evaluating means 7 for the selected number, a gene storing means 6 for storing an evaluated value together with the generated early gene into the gene storing part 15, a gene sorting means 8 for rearranging early genes on the basis of the evaluated value, a baby gene generating means 9 for generating a baby gene on the basis of the rearranged early genes, and an end condition deciding means 14 for deciding whether or not baby gene generation is finished. The gene evaluating means 7 for selected number evaluates a new baby gene, and the gene storing means 6 stores a new evaluated value being results of new baby gene evaluation into the gene storing part.
