PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent engine rotational speed from varying due to the load variation of a power steering, while suppressing a wasteful fuel consumption in an engine output controller. SOLUTION: A hydraulic pressure for steering assist force generation of a power steering is detected by a power steering hydraulic pressure detection means 16, and the amount of variation in the hydraulic pressure is also detected. A first correction amount, corresponding to the detected hydraulic pressure, is added to a second correction amount corresponding to the amount of variation in hydraulic pressure to calculate a power steering-compatible correction amount, and the output of an engine 1 is corrected, based on the calculated power steering-compatible correction amount.
