PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system of contents distribution service which prevents charge payment that a user does not expect and suitably distributes digital contents with a charge system and distribution contents that the user desires. SOLUTION: When digital contents are retrieved, the digital contents are selected so that the total of subscription charges for the digital contents to be selected do not exceed the total amount obtained by adding the totals of discount charges corresponding to selected advertisement information to the upper-limit amount of a user profile table 30. When advertisement information is retrieved, the advertisement information is so selected that the total of the subscription charges corresponding to the selected digital contents does not exceed the total amount obtained by adding the total of discount charges corresponding to the advertisement information to be selected to the upper-limit amount of the user profile table 30.
