A twin-former in a paper machine includes two forming wire loops which define a twin-wire zone; a dewatering box inside one of the wire loops to remove water through the wire from a web being formed; and loading blade(s) opposite the dewatering box. The loading blade(s) is placed inside one of the wire loops opposite a vacuum-free zone that is preceded and followed by vacuum zone. A twin-former in a paper machine includes two forming wire loops (10, 20) defining a twin-wire zone; a dewatering box (30) inside one of the wire loops to remove water through the wire from a web being formed; and a loading blade (40) opposite the dewatering box. The dewatering box includes at least three successive dewatering zones (30a-b), in which every second zone has vacuum or is vacuum-free. The loading blade(s) is placed inside the wire loop opposite the vacuum-free zone that is preceded and followed by vacuum zone.
